Website Redesign for The Mower Mechanic

The Business

The Mower Mechanic is a local garden machinery repair, servicing and sales business run by Andrew, supporting customers with lawnmowers, garden machinery and related equipment.

The business already had a strong reputation with customers, backed by excellent reviews and a clear track record of reliable service. However, the existing website did not reflect the quality of the business or give customers the information they needed before getting in touch.

The Challenge

Andrew approached Deerman Consulting because he wanted to update and relaunch The Mower Mechanic website.

At the time, the website was very limited. It consisted mainly of a domain, the business logo, contact details and a basic price list of services. While this provided some information, it did not properly explain the business, show the quality of Andrew’s work, outline how the service operated, or give customers confidence before making contact.

The aim was to create a simple but professional website that would help customers:

  • understand who The Mower Mechanic is;

  • see the services available;

  • understand how the business operates;

  • review the terms of business;

  • find answers to common questions;

  • view customer feedback;

  • contact the business easily.

The website needed to be practical, trustworthy and easy to manage, without creating unnecessary complexity for the business.

What We Delivered

Deerman Consulting took the existing brand identity and built out a complete new website for The Mower Mechanic.

The project included creating a more professional structure, expanding the content, improving the customer journey and using real photography taken at Andrew’s workshop to give the website a more authentic and personal feel.

The new website included:

  • a professional homepage;

  • clear service information;

  • an About section explaining the business;

  • customer FAQs;

  • terms and conditions;

  • privacy policy content;

  • contact information;

  • professional workshop imagery;

  • improved layout and navigation;

  • a Google Reviews widget;

  • SEO-focused page structure and content;

  • clearer calls to action throughout the site.

The use of real workshop images helped the site feel local, genuine and credible. Rather than relying on generic stock photography, the website now gives customers a better sense of the person and business behind the service.

SEO optimisation was also considered throughout the build, with clearer page structure, relevant service wording, local business positioning and content designed to help search engines better understand what The Mower Mechanic does and where it operates.

Building Trust Through Reviews

One of the key improvements was the addition of a Google Reviews widget.

The Mower Mechanic already had excellent customer feedback and a 5-star rating, so it made sense to bring that proof directly onto the website. This allows visitors to quickly see that the business is trusted, well reviewed and already valued by its customers.

For a local service business, this kind of trust signal is important. It helps potential customers feel more confident that they are dealing with a reliable and reputable provider.

Outcome

The finished website gave The Mower Mechanic a much stronger online presence.

Instead of a basic holding page with limited information, the business now has a professional website that explains what it does, how it works, what customers can expect and how to make contact.

Andrew was extremely happy with the outcome and confirmed that the website had already started generating enquiries. The site has also received positive feedback from customers, with Andrew reporting that he had been given multiple compliments on the new website.

Following the successful relaunch, Deerman Consulting has also agreed an ongoing website management arrangement with The Mower Mechanic. This provides continued support to maintain the site and make agreed updates as the business develops.

The Mower Mechanic is also now in discussions with Deerman Consulting about adding an online shop, allowing the business to sell new and reconditioned garden machinery products directly through the website.

Ongoing Support and Future Plans

A good business website should not stand still. As The Mower Mechanic grows, the website can continue to develop alongside the business.

The next stage may include adding e-commerce functionality, product listings and online shop features, giving customers another way to browse and buy machinery products.

This is a good example of how a simple website project can create a stronger foundation for future digital growth.
